We become entrepreneurs to be able to have more freedom in our lives – to have a flexible schedule, to answer to ourselves, not to ask permission to go on vacation – but often we find that our schedule is even busier than before. We’re now doing ALL of the things- marketing, legal, PR, accounting, shipping, etc. And plus, we’re building a business which takes time and energy.
Recently, I’ve found myself really busy with consulting and coaching work, while also having kids at home during the pandemic and summer. Suddenly, everything was opening up again in the summer and we once again had freedom to enjoy the weather and holiday. But I wasn’t doing that because I was so busy and feeling so stressed. I found myself losing passion for things and I wasn’t sure what was wrong.
Now I know I was feeling classic burnout.
And I found that everyone seems to be feeling this way – my peers, my clients and so I thought it was important to do a podcast episode on this.
